Step 1

Once logged in, Tap on the menu button in the top left corner (or just slide in from left to right).

Step 2

At the bottom of this menu, you’ll see an option for Offline Maps. Tap that.

Step 3

Once you click, you will get two options: “Local” and “Custom Area.”

Step 4

To customize your map for various locations or islands in Vanuatu, please click the “Custom Area” option. The following screen will appear.

You can now choose the island of Efate (the capital port vila is on this island) or all of Vanuatu, if you plan to do a heap of exploring!!!

The Island of EFATE is approx. 15MB to download.
The Island of SANTO is approx. 15mb to download.
The Island of TANNA is approx. 15mb to download

Once your happy with the area that you want to explore offline, click the download button. If your are connected to wifi, it will start immediately. However, if using data, you will be asked to confirm the download.

Once all this is done, your now free to explore Vanuatu without needing internet! In the app, when you click the highlighted address, please select google maps to open this address. Once you do that, your offline navigation will begin in the Google Maps App!

Happy Exploring from all of us here at the Vanuatu Bucket List!!!
